Abraham Van Helsing is a brilliant professor with a seemingly cool exterior. His obsession with revenge and power may make him a more dangerous threat to the public than Dracula himself. Van Helsing was a member of the "Order of the Dragon". The Order punished Van Helsing by killing his wife and young children. The Order has no mercy for any members who betray them, and Van Helsing's children were burned alive while he witnessed the event.
Van Helsing later joined forces with Dracula. He revived Dracula, and hopes to exact revenge on the Order with the help of the vampire. Dracula's constant disobedience and lack of interest in Van Helsing's plan pushed him to take matters into his own hands, leading to great consequences.
Van Helsing and Jonathan Harker joined forces after the young journalist asked for him to exploit all of Dracula's secrets.
